I needed to replenish my stock of covered journals as they have been selling very well at market.
This one I decided to cover with red mulberry paper with gold streaks through it. To make the paper a bit more substantial I put quilting batting between it and the journal cover.
While shopping today I saw this beautiful rose and immediately knew it would look beautiful on the cover of the journal - and it does. I made the leaves from Sage Shadow paper, and the edges using the photo edge punch.
The stamp is from Frog's Whiskers Ink.
This is the side view of the journal, showing the faux braiding I did on the spine.
A closer look at the faux braiding using ribbon and a metal embellishment.

Hello Maria, your journal is lovely. I can see why people are buying them at the market. Isn't it fun to have the time and the accessories to make these lovely cards and journals etc. Thanks for showing me your work again. I do enjoy viewing. StampinJo Oostrom
